British American Drama Academy

The British American Drama Academy is a training program offered each summer at Balliol College of Oxford University in conjunction with UCLA and Juilliard. Its mission is to expose actors from all over the world to the rich history of the British theatrical tradition through its contemporary luminaries. Students are selected by auditions held worldwide, and then they re-audition upon arrival to be placed in classes. Becca was one of 13 of the 130 selected from thousands of applicants placed in the top class, the Garrick Group, to study directly with John Barton, Jane Lapotaire, and Deborah Warner. The program included special speakers and masterclass instructors Derek Jacobi, David Leveaux, Brian Cox, and Caryl Churchill. The program culminated in a presentation of scenes and monologues, and by separate audition, Becca performed in the BADA Cabaret. Other BADA Alumni include Orlando Bloom, David Schwimmer, Paul Rudd, Jennifer Ehle, and Oliver Platt.
